Search Queries
A query entered in a search tool is transmitted to the independent company that provides that tool. The provider processes the name or location and returns its results. We do not keep or log those search terms on our own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be retained so a response can be provided. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Routine server and analytics logs may collect technical details when a page loads, including:
- Visit and page-view timestamps
- Browser type and version
- Device category and operating system
- Internet Protocol address
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring website, when one is supplied
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved on a device. Analytics providers use them to help measure traffic, popular pages, and points where visitors leave. Browser controls can reject cookies, although some site functions may then work differently.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Lampasas County Criminal History does not own, compile, store, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes directions to official custodians such as the Lampasas County Sheriff, the District and County Clerks, the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not turned into a report about another person. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
An outside provider controls each partner search tool. Its privacy notice, retention schedule, and disclosure rules govern information entered there. Review that provider’s terms before submitting a query because this policy does not control the partner’s systems.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Lampasas County offices, Texas courts and agencies, registry resources, or independent services. Once a visitor follows an outbound link, the destination’s privacy policy applies. Read it before providing personal information.
Advertising companies may also use their own technology to measure activity across websites and select ads. That processing occurs on their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be disclosed to:
- Analytics vendors that measure use and performance
- Search providers that receive a query submitted to their tool
- Advertising networks that serve material on the pages
- Government or law-enforcement bodies when valid legal process requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards are applied to information under our control. No internet service can promise perfect security, so we cannot guarantee that an intrusion or loss will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger than 18. If such data is identified, it will be removed.
Your Data Rights
Where it applies, the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Business and Commerce Code Chapter 541, may provide rights concerning personal data, correction, deletion, access, and certain processing choices. These consumer-data rules differ from access to government records under the Texas Public Information Act, Government Code Chapter 552, and from criminal-history dissemination under Government Code Chapter 411. Depending on the law and whether an exception applies, a person may be able to:
- Request access to personal data held about them
- Ask that inaccurate personal data be corrected
- Request deletion of qualifying personal data
- Opt out of certain covered processing
